Patricia HermannsOn behalf of the team at the Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to Switzerland and the Permanent Mission of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, I am delighted to welcome you to our website.

We trust that our website will enable you to follow our bilateral and multilateral relations. We also hope that the website will provide useful information to help you understand the work of the Permanent Mission and how we safeguard the interests of The Bahamas in the many international organizations resident in Geneva.

I am also pleased to welcome the Bahamian Diaspora in Switzerland and Europe who are accessing the website and encourage you to register with the Permanent Mission in Geneva as a way to keep in touch with The Bahamas and ensure that you are included when we send out notifications of events at the Permanent Mission.

Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Davis on his return from his maiden address at the 76th Session of the United Nation’s General Assembly in New York noted the Government’s intention to facilitate ways of keeping the members of the Diaspora connected to events in The Bahamas. It is hoped that the web site will serve such a purpose.

We also hope that other visitors to the site can explore who we are as a people and the many services we offer. We trust that the website will provide helpful and exciting information about visiting the many islands in our archipelago that we call home and the many investment opportunities the islands of The Bahamas have to offer.
