The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the return of Ambassador Rhoda Jackson as its newly appointed Director-General

On Monday 4th April, Ambassador Rhoda Jackson returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the newly appointed Director General.

Prior to this most recent appointment, Ambassador Jackson served as the Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, The Bahamas Mission to the United Nations, New York, and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2017.

During this week’s press conference to announce the appointment of Diplomatic Envoys, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell made note of Ambassador Jackson’s extensive diplomatic career within the Foreign Service and the value that she brings to the Ministry.

The post of Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was previously held by Ambassador Sharon Brennen-Haylock who now serves on the United Nations’ Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ) in New York.
